Beauty In All She Is
every breath, every hour has come to this
one step closer...
i have died every day waiting for you
darling don't be afraid
i have loved you for a thousand years
i'll love you for a thousand more

The first post of 2016 is here, and it's kind of a special one.
Last Saturday I took a leap into birth photography. One of my oldest and dearest friends was delivering her second child, and she requested my presence to document it. Since I don't have kiddos of my own, I wasn't really sure what I was getting into. I had never seen a birth before, and I nearly broke down in tears watching Rachel "give birth" to Emma on FRIENDS, so I halfway anticipated that I would be too much of a weepy mess to do my job. In all actuality, I was 50% amazed and 50% focused on getting the shots that I didn't even have time to process my emotions until I sat down to edit... I WAS A BLUBBERING MESS. ALL OF THE FEELS, PEOPLE.
When I first showed up (after crossing state lines, two rivers, and nearly 100+ miles of speedy driving), Michelle told me about a fortune they had found in a cookie the night before. "The project you have in mind will soon gain momentum." How perfect is that?! Magic, I tell you.
Anyway, enough words. Here's the story of Michelle & Nick welcoming little Avery into the world.
